What kind of training do I get?

Health Care Workers are expected to perform their job within their scope of practice.  However, that doesn't mean that there aren't opportunities to learn on the job, through continuous education or by self-guided studies. WeBookCare provides ongoing educational opportunities though partnerships with post-secondary intuitions and not-for-profit organisations. Links to continuing education courses and programs can be found in the marketplace on your home page. 

Depending on the client, there are also opportunities for in-service training from healthcare professionals on ceiling lifts, transferring, use of home modification equipment and delegated tasks such as medication administration. It is important to connect with the client's healthcare team and determine from their care plan what your duties and responsibilities are. 

WeBookCare provides ongoing educational opportunities in the Education Centre so Health Care Workers

and Care Seekers have the tools they need for compassionate, dedicated, and nurturing care.
