Care Seekers can cancel upcoming jobs without adverse penalties in the extenuating circumstances described in this article. Because cancellations disrupt Health Care Worker plans and impact confidence in the WeBookCare community, Care Seekers should fulfill all accepted jobs. If a Care Seeker cannot fulfill a job because of an extenuating circumstance or similar conditions beyond their control, it is their responsibility (and not the Health Care Worker) to cancel in a timely manner to allow their Health Care Worker time to adjust their plans.
- If the start time is less than 24 hours, the option to cancel online for these reasons won't be available—the Care Seeker will need to contact us.
- You can never cancel for any reason that violates WeBookCare’s Nondiscrimination Policy.
Extenuating circumstances
Care Seekers can cancel jobs where they can establish that extenuating circumstances or similar conditions beyond their control prevent the completion of the job. In determining whether consequences should be waived, we may consider relevant factors including how timely the Care Seeker cancelled the job after becoming aware they could not receive help.
